Alex Morgan is turning the fleeting fame of being a star on last summer's U.S. women's national soccer team into a permanent reality.

Consider this a reward for being a rule breaker. The 22-year-old is going to be in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue, but she won't be a wearing a swimsuit. Oh no, this maverick won't be wearing any clothing at all.

She'll be wearing nothing but paint.

She retweeted the shocking news.

In fairness to Morgan, and her ability to abide by the rules, it is a swimsuit that's painted on.

Take a look at the pic yourself.

And with this news and that picture becoming public, Morgan just reminded the world who she is, and introduced herself to some that may be a far bigger fan of women wearing paint for clothes then soccer.

She is in the process of turning herself into a brand. And that undoubtedly played a part in her agreeing to this ad. Although, she didn't come out and say it.

Here is Morgan from an interview by Jimmy Traina on SI.com

Initially I was a little nervous, but this opportunity doesn't come everyday. I wanted to involve my family with my decision and it helped that they were very supportive. After the initial reaction of nerves, I was so excited to start shooting, and honored to be included with such an amazing group of athletes and models.

With the decision, nerves and the shoot behind her, all she has to do is reap the rewards of the photos.
