On a night where the Jeremy Lin movement was expected to come to a screeching halt, the New York Knicks sensation rose to the occasion and dropped a career-high 38 points versus Kobe's Los Angeles Lakers.
His prowess was on full display and he looked the part of a true NBA superstar. The "MVP" chants taking over Madison Square Garden may have been a bit overkill, but there is no doubting that Lin put on an incredible show for all of those who tuned in.
Even with superstars Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony sidelined, Lin has made the Knicks must-see TV. Lin completely took over the game, getting his teammates involved when he needed to, making smart decisions on both ends of the floor and being aggressive offensively when the opportunity presented itself.
Lin certainly has his critics, but he's certainly turned a huge portion of his skeptics into believers with this performance.
The Knicks' 92-85 victory was unprecedented. Lin has breathed new life into New York and though "Linsanity" was supposed to die out with this game, the phenomenon has exploded and reached even greater heights.
Lin saved his greatest performance thus far for the biggest stage imaginable. Some will still say he's a flash in the pan and contend that he's a system point guard on a hot streak, but don't tell that to the packed house that witnessed his 38 points at MSG.
Lin has the entire world waiting to see what he's going to do next. His heroics were on full display here and it's clear that New York is indeed "all Lin."
