The attorney for John Chadima, the former senior associate athletic director who resigned after being accused of making an unwanted sexual advance to a male University of Wisconsin student employee, accused Interim Chancellor David Ward on Thursday of engaging in "a reckless campaign of character assassination" by soliciting complaints against his client.

Attorney Charles W. Giesen released his statement just hours after Ward said UW Police were investigating what they called a credible third allegation against Chadima.
