Some 125 minutes of hockey between the Sharks and Calgary Flames last month produced a measly three goals.
Wednesday night at HP Pavilion, Flames center Olli Jokinen had that many on his own as his hat trick provided the bulk of Calgary's offense in a wild 4-3 victory over San Jose that gave netminder Miikka Kiprusoff his 300th career win.
The Sharks dug themselves an early hole but twice came back to tie the game after 2-0 and 3-2 deficits on goals by Logan Couture, Joe Pavelski and Michal Handzus. Ultimately, however, a turnover by defenseman Colin White early in the third period led to Jokinen's third goal, and it was one San Jose could not get back.
