Dave Cohen said a chance to work for a BCS-level program 45 miles from the house in which he was raised was too much to pass up.

Cohen confirmed Tuesday evening he is leaving Western Michigan University's football program after two seasons as defensive coordinator to become linebackers coach at Rutgers University.
