FC Barcelona 2-0 Valencia CF at Camp Nou, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain
La Blaugrana left Valencia out in the cold with a two-point advantage according to the FC Barcelona website. The victory was one point more than what I predicted in my previous article about La Copa Del Rey.
Cesc Fabregas scored the first goal within the first half and Xavi in the second half. The victory was one that was needed to maintain the hopes of La Blaugrana at least in the Copa Del Rey.
Barca still has to face Osasuna this Saturday at another La Liga match. La Blaugrana has to face Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League match on Valentines Day.
It is not expected to be an easy match but Barca has to maintain the same rhythm and not allow the opponent any advantage. Barca should continue to use Jose Manuel Pinto and the 4-3-3 formation.
If Barca could win every match (which would be difficult if not impossible), the team could increase its point average in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. It remains to be seen what will transpire in the match against Osasuna and Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
