Notable gym rat Kevin Durant dropped his basketball and picked up the mic, and the results were shocking.

Shock No. 1: He is not terrible at rapping.

Shock No. 2: He's dropping F-bombs, and in a song that talks about oral sex and makes a drug dealing analogy.

Maybe the Durantula hasn't spent every minute of his life in a gym?

KD's "rap career" has certainly not hurt his game. He is playing as well as ever. At 27.3 points per game, he is down .4 from last year, but he is hitting a higher percentage of his shots.

In fact, he currently has a higher field-goal percentage than any season of his career. He is making just over 50 percent of his shots. That is remarkable for a player who spends as much time on the perimeter as he does.

He is also setting career highs in rebounds and assists. It is a scary prospect, but undeniably true—this already fabulous player is getting better. And he should be. It is easy to forget, but Durant is still just 23 years old.

He has also led the Thunder to the best record in the league. They are 20-5 and have a five-game lead in their division.

Durant's already shining star is growing brighter by the game, and with his new display of skills his marketing power is only going to increase.
