We NBA fans love the game itself, but nothing gets our adrenaline pumping like a phenomenal slam dunk that makes us jump out of our seats. 

The past two years alone, I can’t count how many times Blake Griffin has made my heart skip a beat with his thunderous jams and incredible strength above the rim.

Still, as much as I love watching his work in that area, Griffin can’t compare to some of the other greats.  I still get pumped up watching old footage of Vince Carter do some 360-windmills and Julius Erving during some original ABA footage.

Oh, and let’s not forget the many incredible dunks that we were given from His Airness, Michael Jordan.

Thus, in the spirit of Griffin’s continuing rise to the top, let’s have a look at the five best dunkers in NBA history.
