After WVU Drop, FSU Has Reached out to OU, A&M Among Others

With the announcement Saturday morning that West Virginia was dropping Florida State from its football schedule this fall, the Seminoles have entered into the unenviable position of having to try to find a new non-conference opponent to fill the now empty slot.

In a statement, FSU athletic director Randy Spetman announced that the Mountaineers were backing out of the game as they prepare for a move from the Big East Conference to the Big-12. The Mountaineers have been trying to become members of the Big-12 since October, but have been hung up by the Big East and its exit policies...
