Basketball LiveBlog: Purdue

David ThurmanCorrespondent IFebruary 8, 2012
Ohio State plays host to Purdue (15-8, 5-5) tonight, who have dropped four of their last six games. The latest loss came at home to rival Indiana, 78-61, a game in which they shot 29.6 percent from the floor. They are led by tenth year senior Robbie Hummel (15.2 ppg, 6.2 rpg), who I'm pretty sure was playing when Scoonie Penn was running point for the Buckeyes.

The Buckeyes on the other hand have won five straight and have perched themselves atop the conference standings. With a rough conference slate still ahead, this is a must win at home.

The game tips at 9 PM ET on ESPN, but the LiveBlog will get going at 8:30. We will be joining the other guys from the Buckeye Blogger Network - Men of the Scarlet and GrayOur Honor Defend,The Buckeye Battle CryBuckeye House Callthe Buckeye Blog, and Fox Sports Ohio.
