South Bay prosecutors said Monday they will not file charges against a Sharks fan who knocked a 16-year-old brain tumor patient unconscious during a game six weeks earlier.
The case of Maggie Herger drew national headlines after she was hit on the back of the head, apparently for wearing gear from the visiting team, the Vancouver Canucks. Some of the Canucks visted the 12-year-old Canada native in the hospital, helping her recover from brain surgery.
