Marvel has done an unprecedented lead in for this movie. They have already built up the characters on the big screen in separate flicks featuring Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor.
And it is going to pay off in a big way. This movie is going to surpass the box-office haul of any of those flicks, and it is going to rule the 2012 box office.
