Before every college football season, several teams receive a ton of hype. Of course, some go on to live up to the lofty expectations, whereas others fall flat on their faces.

It’s unfortunate, but it’s also part of the game. The 2012 won’t be any different, as a number of teams will disappoint.

Whether they start off strong only to fail later, or they just never had it to begin with, these teams will not amount to much in 2012.

Sure, they might reach a bowl game, but they’ll finish the year far worse than what they had hoped for.

This past season, schools like Florida State, Oklahoma, Clemson, Notre Dame, Florida, Ohio State and Boise State were among the many who really failed to live up to expectations.
