Wayne Rooney took to Twitter on Monday night to say that Luis Suárez should have been sent off on his comeback for Liverpool.

The Uruguayan striker, making his return from a nine-match absence, caught Tottenham's Scott Parker in the stomach with a high boot just four minutes after coming off the bench. Suárez was booked for the challenge but Rooney felt the punishment should have been more severe.

"If ref sees that kick from suarez and books him for it it should be red," tweeted the Manchester United striker.
