Madonna now has the the ability to say she was the most-watched performer of any Super Bowl Halftime Show, and she's definitely making the most of this recent success.

According to Reuters, Madonna's halftime show set a record for the most viewers, at 114 million. That's three million more than the total of the actual game.

Super Bowl XLVI was a smash hit from beginning to end, and even though Madonna was overshadowed by the guests and special effects, she's doing the right thing and continuing to perform at other places.

On Tuesday, Madonna set the dates for her world tour, which will begin May 29 in Tel Aviv, Israel. Billboard.com says this "will be her most extensive tour ever in terms of number of dates."

In addition to that, her North American tour begins on Aug. 28 in Philadelphia and it will feature 26 shows. USA Today reports that Madonna will perform one of those at Yankee Stadium on Sept. 6.

I wonder if she will be lip-syncing the entire time like she did at the Super Bowl? The fans may not care, though, since it is Madonna.

Still, this is all huge news for Madonna, and she can thank those who picked her to perform at the Super Bowl. Of course, she's an icon and will always have people come watch her, but there's no doubt that getting the exposure of the Super Bowl Halftime Show is doing wonders for her.

At the age of 53, Madonna may have a hard time with this lengthy tour. It wouldn't surprise me at all if some of the concerts were postponed or cancelled.

After all, if she decides to wear giant heels again, things may not go over so well.

There were multiple times were Madonna looked extremely tired during her performance at the Super Bowl. With an actual concert, she'll be moving around much more over a longer period of time.

Granted, Madonna does look to be in great shape for her age, and there will likely be a few songs where she stands still and lets the special effects do all the work.

She may be up there in age, but Madonna put on a good show at the Super Bowl even if she wasn't really singing. Let's hope she plans to have guests with her at her shows, or else it could be a letdown.

Madonna is doing a fine job capitalizing off her Super Bowl success, even though it will be remembered more for the middle finger of a lesser-known artist.
