Count me as one of those who absolutely could not stand John Laurinaitis when he became the interim general manager of Monday Night Raw in October of 2011. He was everything CM Punk said he was: boring, uncharismatic and lacking a creative cell in his body.

However, over time he has become bearable as the GM of Raw. As annoying as it might get to hear him state that he is the "Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and the Interim General Manager of Monday Night Raw" week after week, he does a good job in his role. He is a different authority figure than guys of the past such as Eric Bischoff, Paul Heyman or Vince McMahon.

He is a different character. People can't stand him! And that is exactly what he is supposed to do in his role, whether you agree with how he does it or not.

His feud with CM Punk has helped Johnny Ace solidify himself to be the right guy for the job. He has become one of the most hated guys in the company, and garners more heat than most of the heel active superstars do today.

Despite my first assumptions of "Mr. Excitement," I now come to welcome him whenever he shows up on-screen. He adds some comedic value to the show that is not overdone or forced. Any time he speaks and that raspy voice comes out, you can assure, one way or another, that you will get a laugh out of Mr. Laurinaitis.

John Laurinaitis deserves to have the interim label removed from his position and become the permanent General Manager of Raw. He is a welcome and unique addition to Raw. Here's to more of Laurinaitis. Hey, he's better than Mike Adamle or the anonymous GM.
