COLUMBIA -- South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier filled the fourth and final vacancy on his nine-man staff Friday when he announced the hiring of Grady Brown as secondary coach and assistant special teams coordinator. He replaces safeties coach Jeep Hunter, who was fired.

Newly promoted defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward will still oversee the secondary, as he did last season. Brown will assist him.
