Purdue's Akeem Shavers has earned the Marines Running Back Performance of the Year, Intersport announced today. Shavers won week 16 with his career-high 149-yard performance in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl where he named the game's MVP and helped the Boilermakers to a 37-32 win over Western Michigan. Shavers competed against 17 other weekly running back winners from this season's competition.
