HARTFORD — No matter who was going to be coaching his University of Connecticut basketball team down the stretch this season, Alex Oriakhi realized the Huskies needed someone in a jersey to lead it.
So the junior big man called his teammates together Friday afternoon for a meeting to talk about where UConn’s season was headed on the heels of four straight defeats.
