Madonna's ostentatious halftime performance is not the big story of the Super Bowl halftime.

MIA took it upon herself to flip the camera the bird, and now the FCC has yet another debacle to deal with over a Super Bowl halftime nightmare.

This isn't a huge deal, and unlike Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction, body parts aren't being exposed on stage.

Even so, it's the last thing they want to deal with after a halftime show that went so well. Madonna's near slip is the last thing on anyone's mind after MIA's one-finger salute.

The over-the-top performance could have been touted as the best ever, but MIA chose to draw the attention to herself by flipping off the world.

This little demonstration will ultimately overshadow Madonna's performance—which isn't easy to do. It's a shame that rather than talking about Madonna's halftime show, we're talking about a cameo appearance gone terribly wrong.

This stunt was completely rehearsed and totally uncalled for. Censorship wasn't able to spare viewers, but hopefully nobody was too scarred from seeing the finger.

It's tough when the least relevant person on stage intentionally makes herself the story of the evening. The Super Bowl halftime notoriety grows once more and everyone involved has to be frustrated by how easily this mess could have been avoided.
