New York Giants: The Giants Need a TE in Free Agency

Jason RadowitzContributor IIIFebruary 6, 2012

After winning the Super Bowl, the Giants found out that Jake Ballard and Travis Beckum will not be ready to play at the start of the season.

That means that the Giants are left with just one tight-end, Bear Pascoe, a hero in the playoffs, however, he won't be able to bring everything he has to the table.

The Giants most certainly will look for a tight end in the draft and try to find the new franchise tight end, as they really don't have one at this point.

Although Ballard has a pretty good season, I am not quite sure if anyone can name him a starter, and I do believe that there are better options then Ballard who went into a slump late in the season and was pretty ineffective.

You can check this list out for the top tight ends in the draft that the Giants could be considering by drafttek.com.

Defense is key for Giants in the draft, but the one position on offense the Giants need to work on, is tight end, and I believe Jerry Reece will make the right decision when game one in the season begins.
