Super Bowl Commercials 2012: Watch Regis Philbin in Hilarious Pepsi Max Ad
As enticing as the actual Super Bowl game itself is, it is the commercials that many fans find just as intriguing as the game itself.
The vast array of commercials from the more clever, comical ads to those utilizing sex appeal and celebrities have become one of the main spectacles of Super Bowl Sunday.
Much like on the football field, rivalries exist in the Super Bowl commercial world as well.
When we think Regis Philbin we think of him on the set of Regis and Kelly or once handing out the big bucks on Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
Yet it might just so happen that Philbin has a thing for commercials—Super Bowl commercials that is.
Right beside the fat checks yet again, Philbin makes a memorable appearance on one of the more comical ads leaked from this year's upcoming Super Bowl game.
Pepsi Max rivals Coca-Cola Zero in an interestingly funny commercial featuring a Coca-Cola employee buying a bottle of Pepsi Max. After discretely trying to buy the soda and leave, he is told he has won a lifetime supply of Pepsi Max.
I'm sure the Coke employee couldn't have possibly been put in a more awkward situation. This, of course, leads to the epic giveaway presented by the infamous Philbin, and his classic projection where he gives him a Regis-esque line telling him, "You're gonna be famous, kid."
After "First Date" and "Love Hurts" in 2011, Pepsi Max seems to be right on track to make just as much noise in the 2012 Super Bowl commercials.
