The Super Bowl halftime show has been lacking in recent years, but with an icon like Madonna leading the way in this year's performance, we're bound to see a massive improvement.

Prince stole the show at Super Bowl XLI, and though the height of his career had passed, his iconic status allowed him to deliver a historic halftime performance.

In the same way, Madonna's legendary act will make for an explosive lineup of songs that will win over the world once more.

Where you can watch

The game is airing on NBC, and for the first time ever, you can catch the Super Bowl streaming with NFL Mobile and at NBCSports.com.

What you can expect

Seven-time Grammy Award-winner Madonna has enough experience in the spotlight to handle the pressure. Last year during the National Anthem, we saw ridiculously talented artist Christina Aguilera crack under the pressure.

Such will not be the case with Madonna. Like Michael Jackson, Madonna is a performer who will be able to bring it, even with the entire world watching her every move.

Who else is joining her?

The Huffington Post reports that Nicki Minaj and LMFAO will be gracing the stage as well.

With the musical genius, high energy and raw star power on stage, Madonna's performance will be complimented by the modern mix of artists.

Gossiponthis.com and other news outlets are speculating that Cee Lo Green may also grace the stage. Let's hope they're right.
