While La Blaugrana prepares for their next match against Real Sociedad, Pep Guardiola is pondering about his future with the club. Sandro Rossell (FC Barcelona president) is one of the people in the club who hopes that Guardiola renews his contract with the club.

Rossell declared in a press conference (published in Reuters) that the situation with Guardiola can be resolved as soon as possible. Rossell added that La Blaugrana would receive a massive boost of Guardiola agrees to renew his contract which will expire at the end of the current season.

Barca is currently in second place within the 2011-12 La Liga table with seven points behind Real Madrid. The last three matches ended in draws and the one against Villareal was scoreless.

The positive outcomes in what is transpiring with Barca is its advance to the Copa Del Rey semifinals. The other is a press conference given by Rossell (during a meeting between the FC Barcelona Foundation and Intervida) and published in the FC Barcelona Web site.

Rossell said that no fan of La Blaugrana could doubt a team that won 50 percent of their titles at the present time. The Copa Del Rey semifinals and what Rossell said has given me hope for my club.

I am not saying that faith is lost on a personal basis. I support Barca regardless of its situation because they are family.

What I want is that Guardiola make his decision to renew his contract since he has a lot to offer La Blaugrana. The rest is up to Guardiola whether he stays at Barca or goes.
