With the NHL All-Star Game hangover apparently in full effect for the Colorado Avalanche, and the Feb. 27 trade deadline looming ominously on the distant horizon, it is safe to assume that general manager and executive vice president Greg Sherman has gone to the mattresses. For the next month, Sherman will be crunching the numbers, watching the wins, weighing the losses and evaluating every player in the organization, as he decides whether or not he wants to pull the trigger, bringing in talent to help his club into the playoffs or sending the right pieces to other teams to strengthen the unit for next year...
