National Signing Day: Report Card Grades for Auburn's 2012 Recruiting Class

T.J. McaloonContributorFebruary 2, 2012

National Signing Day is a time when fan bases see their future take shape right before their eyes. This year, much like a number of previous years, the Auburn Tigers fans witnessed as head coach Gene Chizik put together another solid class.

The 2012 Auburn Tigers National Signing Day class is headlined by an impressive 11 four-star commitments led by offensive lineman Avery Young and wide receiver JaQuay Williams.

The signing of these two future stars propelled Auburn to have the 11th-best recruiting class (according to Rivals.com).

However, Auburn still has one major recruit lurking out there in receiver Stefon Diggs. If this young talented player can be swayed to play for Auburn, it will give this Auburn class a great ranking at the end of the day. But until then they are just a good class that has a lot of potential.

So what did you think of this year’s class? What would you grade it? Take a look at the video as you see where the Tigers landed on my grading scale.
