GoDaddy Super Bowl Commercial 2012: Body Paint
Has anybody actually ever gone to GoDaddy.com because they thought they'd see some skin? Well, apparently, it must work because the domain registrar and its "girls" have been going with this kind of ad for years—especially during the Super Bowl.
Like or not, the company's making enough money to pay for a race car driver (Danica Patrick) and a TV celeb (Biggest Loser's Jillian Michaels) to paint logos on a sultry brunette (not to mention the $3.5 million it cost to air the duo's "artwork" for 30 seconds).
(This is where the dumb cliche about sex selling should go, but you already know that.)
Well, since your most likely engrossed in the game – or having the day-after food hangover – I'll spare you the trouble and quell your dying curiosity to see what happens when you head over to the allegedly hedonistic world of GoDaddy.
Wow! Holy... That was soooooo .... Boring. Yup, it's about as exciting as you'd expect a domain-name registrar to be. They're essentially DMVs for the Internet. But that place doesn't try to hide it's complete and utter awful-terrible-uber-boringness with hallow promises from a hot racecar driver and a woman who screams at overweight people to do more sit-ups.
