After news of his second suspension for violating the WWE Wellness policy emerged, there has been wide speculation over the future of Matthew Korkan (AKA Evan Bourne) in the promotion.
Recent reports have claimed that Bourne may not even come back at all in 60 days, with WWE likely feeling they cannot trust the star with a sustained push ever again (per the rules of WWE's Wellness Policy, if Korklan were to fail again, he would be terminated immediately and could not be brought back for at least a year).
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Globe Newsletter, journalist Mike Aldren reports that the WWE locker room is eager to bring back the high-flying wrestler and are hoping he can overcome his issues:
Sources say that Evan Bourne is being missed in the locker room and in
the ring right now. Many hope he comes back healthy and is able to
bounce back from his recent troubles to become a significant player in
2012.
For the record, the "troubles" that led Bourne to failing two drug tests in three months (Bourne was previously suspended for 30 days in November) have not been fully revealed yet, although when the news of second failure emerged, Bourne would cryptically tweet to his followers: "Sorry y'all. Sometimes we become our own worst enemy."
