There has only ever been two wrestlers to enter the Royal Rumble at No. 30 and win the over-the-top match; the Undertaker and John Cena. However, this year, these three men could enter last in the rumble and become the third person to be the last man standing.
The Royal Rumble is being held in Orton’s hometown of St. Louis. However, because of a back injury, Orton has been out of action for the majority of the build to Sunday’s pay-per-view.
Orton did come back at the last Smackdown taping, to remind everyone that Orton is a viable threat to win the Rumble match.
To protect the Viper from further injuring his back, he could enter the match at No. 30 to avoid having to put strain on his back. Entering at No. 30, Orton could eliminate a handful of wrestlers quickly, thus getting the match down to the final-four.
Then, he would eliminate someone like Wade Barrett, while the other two wrestlers eliminate one or the other, thus getting it down to the final two.
Shortly thereafter, Orton would eliminate the final participant in the match, thus winning the match and getting that major pop to send the hometown fans home happy.
However, if they do not go with Orton at No. 30, they could go with Truth as the last entrance of the Royal Rumble.
Truth scored a big victory over The Miz at last week’s Raw. With the victory, Miz has to enter the Royal Rumble match at No. 1, and they could announce at the pay-per-view that Truth won the right to enter at No. 30.
Having Truth come into the match at 30 would give some doubt as to who the winner of the match will be.
Could the WWE be giving R-Truth a big push since his gimmick is taking off with the fans?
Little Jimmy would think so.
Christian has been out of action since November due to an injury. However, no one has heard of a return for “Captain Charisma.”
Enter Christian at No. 30 of the 2012 Royal Rumble. Now, he has been a huge fan favorite before; but before he was injured he was playing up a heel role.
Having him return at the rumble, with no news or hints at his return, would be the perfect way to have him receive a huge babyface push.
Plus, the WWE has done this before when John Cena and Edge returned and then went on to win the Rumble in separate years.
Christian is a sneaky pick to not only enter at 30, but win the Rumble this year.
These three wrestlers all have a serious chance to enter the 2012 rumble at No. 30. It will be interesting to see who will be the last participant of the Royal Rumble.
