OXFORD — Ole Miss athletics director Pete Boone has moved up his retirement date by six months.

Boone will now retire no later than June 30. He could move on earlier than that, if his replacement has been hired.

That's what Ole Miss is going for - Chancellor Dan Jones said in a statement released Friday that he hopes a hire will be made by the end of the semester.
