CMU Ohio Fight Video: Watch Women's Hoops Game Devolve Into Brawl
Add another ugly chapter to the notorious women's basketball rivalry between the Central Michigan Chippewas and Ohio Bobcats.
Wait, what?
Okay, so I have no idea whether Central Michigan and Ohio are notorious basketball rivals. But I do know that in a game between the two last evening, a bench-clearing brawl broke out at the 11:08 mark in the first half.
The brawl began as a spat between CMU's Jas’Mine Bracey and Ohio junior Porsha Harris. Here are the details, from Jim Lahde of the Morning Sun:
There were no hard fouls or verbal jabbing between the two teams leading in, rather it just happened while Ohio’s offense was bringing the ball up the court and CMU was getting back defensively.
I can guess how this happened. Harris probably implied Bracey was promiscuous by calling her a "Strippewa," and Bracey was probably like, "Whatever, bobcats are the lamest of all the 'fierce' cats," and then Harris was all like, "I know you did not just insult bobcats," and then Bracey was all like "Oh yes, I most certainly did" and things just devolved from there.
That would be my guess, at least.
Hit me up on Twitter—that's where the magic happens.
