There are loads of talented recruits in 2012, but there’s one thing this class is missing: a can’t-miss No. 1 prospect. After all, as good as Dorial Green-Beckham is, the hype around him hasn’t been anything like what it was last year for Jadeveon Clowney.

But which recruits in the last decade were the most hyped? Did they even pan out? I’m B/R college football analyst John Greely, and here are my picks for the decade’s five recruits who had the most buzz.

One of these guys became an all-time great, one was a complete bust and the jury is still out on a couple. It just goes to know that there’s no such thing as a sure-thing in recruiting.
