Chikara Pro Wrestling: The 13th Hat Preview

0 of 8

    Chikara Pro Wrestling.

Your one-stop promotion for all styles of professional wrestling.

    Presents their Season 11 Premiere!

    The 13th Hat.

Taking place Jan. 28 at the Palmer Center in Easton, Pa.

Chikara Pro is in a league of its own, with their family-friendly and unique storylines, exciting matches, and a roster composed of comic-book like wrestlers.

Seven matches are scheduled for the upcoming event and the DVD should be out a week or two afterwards. All of Chikara's DVD are available from Smart Mark Video.

Enough with the jibber jabber and let's get to the matches!

Jigsaw vs. Kobald

1 of 8

Jigsaw, along with Hallowicked, is fresh off a non-title win over Ring of Honor's Tag-Team Champions, the Briscoe Brothers, with that win is a future shot at ROH's tag titles.

The Enigmatic luchador is set to lock horns with the Batiri goblin, Kobald.

Jigsaw is a veteran of Chikara, while Kobald is still relatively young to the sport of professional wrestling.

I predict Jigsaw to win this one, he has the size and experience advantage, not to mention his momentum riding high thanks to his upset over the Briscoes.

    Expect a crazy lucha-styled match.

The Debut of Mr. Touchdown

2 of 8

Who is Mr. Touchdown and what does he hold for Chikara?

Is he a tecnico or a rudo?

    Where does he come from?

All these questions will be answered at the 13th Hat!

The Colony vs. The Batiri

3 of 8

The Colony and The Batiri don't like each other.

Ants and demons just don't mix, and their Season 10 feud continues into Season 11 as Fire Ant and Soldier Ant of the Colony take on Obariyon and Kodama, the demons of the Batiri.

This match should be frantic and the ref will have a hard time keeping up with these four charged-up grapplers.

I predict the Batiri to pick up the win over the energetic insectoids.

Gran Akuma vs. Icarus

4 of 8

This match is 16 months in the making.

Akuma is out for revenge, he was kicked out of F.I.S.T. (Friends In Similar Tights) by former partner Icarus and replaced by Johnny Gargano.

Will this warrior get his revenge or will Icarus be able to turn away Akuma and prove why he he was kicked out of FIST in the first place.

I think Icarus will get the dirty win and help continue this great feud.

Hallowicked vs. Archibald Peck

5 of 8

The Nightmare Warrior from the Spectral Envoy vs. the Leader of the Band.

Hallowicked is crazy, almost as crazy as Frightmare and he is out to graveyard smash Archibald Peck.

Peck (R.D. Evans in ROH) is also crazy, like cartoon crazy; he traveled through time after taking a backfist to the future from Chikara Grand Champion Eddie Kingston.

Look for the drumline daddy to have a lot of shenanigans, especially at ringside with his valet, Veronica. (Get it?)

I predict Hallowicked to win this one and Peck to throw a temper tantrum.

3.0 vs. The BDK

6 of 8

The last remaining members of the Bruderschaft des Kreuzes, Donst and Hammermeier, look to gain a point towards challenging the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas (tag champs) Icarus and Chuck Taylor.

The 3.0 team of Matthews and Parker look to do the same.

Which team will gain the point and which will go home losers?

I predict the BDK to win this one, as Donst and Hammermeier have recently been on the losing end of some important matches.

Hieracon vs. Ophidian

7 of 8

The Osirian Portal explodes as these former teammates go head to head.

Ophidian turned rudo at Chikara's High Noon I-PPV,attacking fellow Portal member Amasis during his retirement announcement.

Hieracon will try to avenge Amasis and take down Chikara's King Cobra.

I predict Ophidian to win by forcing Hieracon to submit to the Cobra Clutch.

Green Ant vs. Mike Quackenbush

8 of 8

Student vs. Teacher as Green Ant is set to face "The Master of a Thousand Holds" Mike Quackenbush.

Quackenbush is the founder of Chikara and has had a hand in teaching everyone who has passed through the Chikara locker room.

This match should have great chain wrestling, stunning submission holds, and high-flying lucha action.

I'm going to go with Green Ant on this one, picking up the win by locking in the Chikara Special.

All these matches are sure to deliver great action, and I can't wait for the DVD release.
