10 Athletes with the Most Shockingly Large Broods

Which athletes in sports from the NBA to the NFL to professional boxing have the biggest families?

I am not here to judge players for their so-called extracurricular activities, nor am I going to make light of relationships just because some of these athletes weren't married to the women they had their children with. 

No one on this list has graced the planet with less than six children, and a few of these guys even hit double digits.

So, who are the athletes with the most surprisingly enormous families?

Shawn Bradley

Shawn Bradley had a long NBA career. At 7'6", he was simultaneously known for blocking shots and getting posterized—getting dunked on, that is.

But Bradley also can add having a lot of kids to his legacy. He and his wife Annette have six children. They have four girls and two boys. 

At least we know that Bradley can fit in a bed.

Travis Henry

Having a big family isn't easy. Even after his earnings over a seven-year NFL career, Travis Henry has struggled to support his nine children, each by a different person.  

A NYTimes.com article by Mike Tierny states that Henry was broke and faces about $170,000 a year in child support payments.

To make things worse, Henry is now serving time in prison for conspiracy to traffic cocaine. He is expected to pay $4,000,000 in fines and is going to get out in 2012.

Evander Holyfield

Boxing great Evander Holyfield makes the list as he is reported by Spike.com to have 11 children.

Holyfield was a heavyweight champ in the ring, and with that many kids, he packs quite a punch outside of it, too.

I wonder if he will bequeath the part of his ear Mike Tyson bit off to one of them?

Jason Caffey was part of a twofold championship-winning Chicago Bulls team.

Of course, you can't say he was a major contributor, considering he never played more than 19 minutes a game or averaged over eight points during his three years with the Bulls.

But he has been a major contributor to the propagation of the human race.

Caffey has had ten children, but like Travis Henry, he has had trouble keeping up with his child support payments.

Danny Ainge, the former NBA All-Star, is now Executive Director of Basketball Operations for one of his former teams—the Boston Celtics.

Ainge won two NBA Championships with the Boston Celtics, and he was also a championship baby producer. 

He has six children with his wife, Michelle.

Ray Lewis is known for his leadership qualities and immense passion playing for the Baltimore Ravens.

The team consistently produces one of the hardest-hitting and most unforgiving defenses in the NFL.

So how many kids does Lewis have?

Lewis has six kids. I just hope he teaches some of them how to tackle. The NFL is beginning to lack great tackling fundamentals.

Marshall Faulk

Who could forgot one of the most prolific offenses the NFL has ever seen? It was even dubbed "The Greatest Show on Turf."

Faulk was exciting to watch. He was a man's man on the field and a ladies' man off of it.

He sired six kids in his lifetime.

Muhammad Ali is widely considered the greatest boxer in the history of the sport.

It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that the charismatic Ali has been with his fair share of women, but it might surprise some that he has nine children.

Antonio Cromartie

The amount of kids Antonio Cromartie has came to light during the airing of HBO's Hard Knocks series when the show was following the New York Jets.

For those of you that have forgotten, Cromartie has seven children.

George Foreman had a long and illustrious career as a professional boxer. Over time, he started to gain weight and lost his deadly attack dog demeanor.

He didn't lose his tenacity, though. At 45 years old, Foreman was the oldest boxer to ever win a heavyweight belt.

One thing is certain: Foreman's never had a problem with his libido. He has 10 children.
