According to Tribalfootball.com, Catania Star Maxi Lopez is nearing a move to AC Milan.
AC Milan have been trying to sign Manchester City misfit Carlos Tevez during the whole window but upon having failed to reach an agreement, they recently turned their attention to the Argentinian.
Milan has a knack for loan-to-buy deals and it is apparent that the deal will Lopez will be just that.
"Sky Italia says Lopez will move to San Siro until the end of the season for a cost of €500,000, with the option in place for the Rossoneri to buy the forward outright in the summer for €8.5m."
Maxi Lopez has played for a big club once before in his career having failed to make the grade at Barcelona. Lopez has gone on to make a career for himself in Italy with Catania.
Lopez will have to battle with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alexandre Pato for a spot in the lineup and it remains to be seen just how productive he will be when he is not the top man.
The deal is not fully complete at the moment as Milan have yet to make a final decision.
However, where the terms are said to be agreed and finalised, the player has reportedly yet to complete his medical examinations or sign anything as he waits for Il Diavolo to reach a final decision on the move.
