Billy Cundiff Video: Watch Kicker Cost Ravens a Chance at Super Bowl XLVI
What do you know?
The Baltimore Ravens hand the AFC Championship Game to the New England Patriots, and Joe Flacco isn't the goat in the 23-20 loss.
Ironically enough, that distinction belongs to a guy named Billy.
Cundiff, that is. Billy Cundiff.
The Ravens kicker, who last year made his first career Pro Bowl while playing in Charm City, shanked a 32-yard field goal wide left with 11 seconds to spare, leaving Baltimore three points short of forcing the Pats to fight for their Super Bowl lives in overtime.
But let's not pin it all on Cundiff, either.
Sure, he failed miserably in the task that was his charge, but so did Lee Evans, who had the game-winning touchdown grab poked out of hands by Sterling Moore while he was in the end zone.
