Leafs Midseason Review

Misha SinkovskyCorrespondent IJanuary 5, 2009

Recently the Toronto Maple Leafs have been on a bit of upturn. After being crushed in a pre-Christmas game against The Stars. The Leafs have shown much improvement in their game. Although there are still many wholes to be fixed, Leafs coach Ron Wilson is confident his boys will bunch back, and regain focus. Sitting 5 points back of Buffalo for the last playoff spot, the team has a legitimate chance of making the post-season, and there is still much hockey left to be played. Now many citizens of Leafs nation have come to this strange and uncharacteristic approach that the team should supposedly "tank" the remainder of the season in order to receive the first overall pick in this years draft. And ether select John Tavares the highly talented Forward from the Oshawa Generals, or Swedish defensive talent Viktor Hedmen. Now Leaf fans are sure what they want right, but it would be in the best interest of every fan to just play the season out, and see what happens. The players will obviously commit such a demand from the fans, and the should respect the players choice and let the season unfold for itself.
