With the 2012 NFL playoffs almost over, it’s time for the fans to start looking forward towards the NFL draft.
Some of the best organizations in the league thrive on this day, and it’s the trades that happen on draft day that will shape the landscape of the NFL.
All of the following teams are thinking about making a huge splash in the first round of the draft this season, whether it is with their pick or a possible blockbuster trade.
St. Louis Rams
Which Team is Most Likely to Trade?
With the No. 2 overall pick, most people feel that while its obvious that the St. Louis Rams need all the help they can get, trading out of the coveted second spot is the right move.
With team after team overestimating the talent of Robert Griffin III, there is bound to be a bidding war between the teams wanting to move up to the St. Louis draft spot that will give the Rams a top-10 pick and much more.
If the Rams are smart, they will let this all play out and see just how desperate teams can get when they really want a player like Griffin. Someone is going to go all-in on Griffin and bust.

While the NFL draft always has its share of surprises, this year’s event could see a seismic shift in the top five. This may be something hardly ever seen, but this would be two years in a row now for the Browns.
With Cleveland trying to build a competitive franchise, there are many people within the Browns organization that feel Colt McCoy is not the answer at quarterback. So, who does that mean will be under center this season? Robert Griffin III.
With the St. Louis Rams looking to trade back, the Browns would be the perfect trade partner. Not only could they offer the No. 4 pick for the No. 2 pick, but they could also trade one of the other acquired selections the Browns have in the upcoming draft. It’s a win-win.

With the No. 9 overall pick, the Dolphins organization was hoping that they would find a franchise quarterback at this spot, but that will not happen this year—unless they view Ryan Tannehill as a top-10 talent.
While some in the organization may think that Tannehill is a quality starter, there is no reason to take that big of a risk that high in the draft. While some may point to Minnesota last season for taking Christian Ponder so high, this is not Ponder.
If Miami were smart, they would move out of the spot and allow a team even more desperate than they are to give up some pieces and future picks to move up. Not only could the Dolphins have a later first-round pick, they could also start the rebuilding process with more picks for next season.
