Willis had originally decided to go to Purdue, but decided to pull his commitment to the Boilermakers.
In a long recruiting process, which he called both stressful and annoying, Willis visited Indiana, Kentucky, Purdue and Louisville.
He is Kentucky's first 2013 commit and will surely have a lot to live up to with such a tradition-rich college basketball factory like Kentucky.
Though Willis is a great player, he is not quite the level of a one-and-done recruit, which could be the signal for change in a Kentucky program that has been known to facilitate such players.
With Willis on board, it will surely give Coach Cal a jump start on the recruiting trails in the future, as he continues to build on his very successful 2012 haul as well.
With another season of high school basketball still left, Willis definitely has some room for improvement before he can set foot on Cawood's Court, but will likely get there with his talent and his size.
