Andrew Bynum: The Difference Maker
Last season when the Los Angles Lakers played the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, Kendrick Perkins and Kevin Garnett had a big series, and got anything they wanted inside.
The Celtics were able to get huge stops on the Lakers and made Kobe Bryant take some tough shots, while Paul Gasol acted soft the whole series and was knocked around a lot.
One key piece that was missing for the Lakers was Andrew Bynum. He was having a great season but got injured, and was forced to watch his Lakers go down in six games to the Celtics.
Bynum is a key factor to the Lakers' 27-5 start this season and why they were able to defeat the same Celtics on Christmas Day that beat the Bynum-less Lakers in the NBA finals. Even though Bynum only had nine points, he made a difference by making sure nobody came into the paint.
So now when the Lakers go back to the NBA Finals and they have a healthy Andrew Bynum, watch out cause they will be ready next time.
