Milton Bradley Signs with Cubs

Phil HoopsCorrespondent IJanuary 5, 2009

Today has been a very busy day for free agent outfielders.

First, the Rays inked Pat Burrell for two years. Now, according to ESPN, the Cubs have signed Milton Bradley to a three-year, $30 million contract.

The Cubs hope that Bradley, 30—who is coming off a career year in which he hit .321—can be the team's everyday right fielder.

In my opinion this is a risky signing for the Cubs, as Bradley has shown attitude problems in the past and is also injury-prone.
