Colorado Rockies: Agree to Terms with Jamie Moyer

Jamie Moyer has been perfecting his craft for 24 seasons now.
The starting pitcher is 49 years old and coming off a one-year hiatus after Tommy John surgery, but the Rockies are hoping Moyer still has something left in the tank.
Moyer will be given the opportunity to compete for a roster spot, as he was given a minor league deal.
I see the signing of Moyer as a good one. There is nothing that this wily veteran has yet to see through his very long career, and has a wealth of knowledge to pass on to a young fairly inexperienced staff.
The owner of 267 career victories, Moyer worked out in front of various scouts this offseason and apparently impressed Colorado enough to warrant a contract.
It remains to be seen just how many innings Moyer will indeed receive this season, assuming that he breaks camp with the team. Regardless of whether he is in the rotation or not, the Rockies' entire staff can learn and pick the brain of Moyer, which can't be a bad thing.
