The NHL 2012 All-Star Game is right around the corner, and as the players have finally been selected, it was in due course that the captains leading the charge would be chosen. The pair of men have been chosen by their All-Star brethren, selecting one member from the team hosting the All-Star game and one from the defending Stanley Cup champions.

Zdeno Chara of the Boston Bruins and Daniel Alfredsson of the Ottawa Senators have both been named as captains for this year's NHL All-Star Game, according to NHL.com. Both men will be in charge of the "fantasy draft" being held on January 26th, which will finalize the roster for the All-Star Skills Competition.

The National Hockey League also confirmed the team jerseys. Team Chara will be wearing dark blue jerseys and pants, while Team Alfredsson will be donning white jerseys with red pants.

Both men are veterans of the sport, with Chara in his 14th year and Alfredsson in his 16th.
