Nails In The Coffin: Mike Scifres Wins Game For San Diego

Yes, Darren Sproles had one of the best games of his career against the Colts in the Wild-Card game on Saturday. But it wasn't the 5'6" lightning ball that won the game for the Chargers.

That title, along with the biggest Pro Bowl snub in the last few years, belongs to Mike Scifres. The San Diego punter had an amazing night against Indy. If this were Dungy's last game, he might just have nightmares about the coffin corners from this game for the rest of his life.

His kicks gave his defense starts within the Indianapolis 20-and even 5-almost all night. This resulted in pressure on Manning and 3-and-outs, keeping the league MVP off the field. The Chargers, 8-8 on the season, forced overtime and gave it to Sproles. Jackpot. San Diego gets the win, and the Colts go packing.

As a Colts fan, I find this troubling that this may be Dungy's last game. The Colts played alright in this game, but the Chargers outplayed them and made the future H.O.F. coach lose his possible final game. Happy trails, Coach Dungy!
