This was a hard thing to do. How do you rank helmets? I just thought about which helmets caught my eye.

I think picking Kentucky No. 1 was easy. There is something about that blue and white that is so eye-catching. But let’s focus here on the helmets I didn’t rank.

LSU? Awful. Just a bad helmet. Yellow is a tough color to pull off and that didn’t do a thing for them.

Florida is another helmet that isn’t all that great. The Gators on the side is kind of cool but it just doesn’t do it for me overall.

I think the SEC as a whole has some very cool helmets. I’d say the Big Ten has a pretty nice assortment. I like the Penn State helmets and the Michigan helmets but that is just me.

I’m sure you have your opinions, so please voice them. Don’t tell me where I was wrong; tell me why. Please don’t use team record or national championships though. That has nothing to do with the coolness of a uniform.
