On Friday, January 20th, the Ultimate Fighting Championship will be traveling to the home of country music in Nashville, Tennessee for UFC on FX.

UFC on FX will air live from the Bridgestone Arena beginning at 6:00 p.m. PT and 9:00 p.m. ET.

In the main event of the evening at UFC on FX, Melvin Guillard will look to bounce back from his previous defeat when he meets Jim Miller in a bout that could decide the number one contender spot for the UFC's lightweight division.

Also featured on the main card is Duane Ludwig, who will attempt to remain red-hot when he meets Josh Neer.

In total, the fight card consists of four main card fights and six preliminary bouts.

The following slides display info and predictions for every fight at UFC on FX.

Let's take a look.

Joseph Sandoval vs. Nick Denis

Joseph Sandoval

Career Record: 6-1

UFC Record: 0-1

Key Wins: Randy Hinds

Key Losses: Walel Watson

Nick Denis

Career Record: 10-2

UFC Record: 0-0

Key Wins: Nick Mamalis

Key Losses: Yuji Hoshino

After losing his Octagon debut to Walel Watson, Joseph Sandoval will look to bounce back when he takes on Nick Denis at UFC on FX.

In one of the more black-and-white bouts of the evening, Denis will surely enter in on Sandoval looking for the knockout blow.

If Denis can capitalize on his series of strikes, he could leave Nashville victorious.

However, if Sandoval proves he can hang on his feet, he'll hold the advantage as the rounds progress, as he's the more conditioned fighter.

Prediction: Sandoval by Unanimous Decision

Daniel Pineda vs. Pat Schilling

Daniel Pineda

Career Record: 15-7

UFC Record: 0-0

Key Wins: Johny Bedford

Key Losses: Johny Bedford

Pat Schilling

Career Record: 5-0

UFC Record: 0-0

Key Wins: Cody Larson

Key Losses: N/A

In a featherweight showdown, submission artists Daniel Pineda and Pat Schilling will meet for what has potential to end in Submission of the Night.

Both Pineda and Schilling have displayed exceptional submission skills despite just being in their mid 20's.

Schilling is more dominant—he has finished every opponent in the first round—but lacks the experience of Pineda.

However, if Schilling can take control early, he could put Pineda in a place he doesn't want to be in.

Prediction: Schilling by R1 Submission

Fabrício Camões vs. Tommy Hayden

Fab_display_image

Fabricio Camoes

Career Record: 13-6-1

UFC Record: 0-1-1

Key Wins: Efrain Escudero

Key Losses: Anderson Silva

Tommy Hayden

Career Record: 8-0

UFC Record: 0-0

Key Wins: Harry Johnson

Key Losses: N/A

Fabricio Camoes and Tommy Hayden will stand across the Octagon and touch gloves for what has the making for one of the more underrated bouts of the night.

Hayden will enter the Octagon never having tasted defeat, but will be standing across the Octagon from a martial artist who's been in his position plenty of times before.

While Hayden has yet to fall to defeat, he's facing an opponent who's competed against the current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

Camoes is also the more well-rounded fighter and has more of an upside heading into action on January 20th.

Prediction: Camoes by Unanimous Decision

Charlie Brenneman vs. Daniel Roberts

Brenn_display_image

Charlie Brenneman

Career Record: 14-3

UFC Record: 3-2

Key Wins: Rick Story

Key Losses: Anthony Johnson, Johny Hendricks

Daniel Roberts

Career Record: 12-3

UFC Record: 3-3

Key Wins: Greg Soto

Key Losses: Claude Patrick

After losing on national television, Charlie Brenneman will return to action to take on Daniel Roberts at UFC on FX.

Brenneman will be squaring off with an opponent in Roberts whose strength lies in the submission, as he's finished nine opponents by way of tapout.

However, Brenneman has never been submitted in his career and is a mastermind on the ground.

If Roberts wants any chance of knocking off Brenneman, he'll have to be the first man to submit him.

Prediction: Brenneman by Unanimous Decision

Kamal Shalorus vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov

Kmal_display_image

Kamal Shalorus

Career Record: 7-1-2

UFC Record: 0-1

Key Wins: Bart Palaszewski

Key Losses: Jim Miller

Khabib Nurmagomedov

Career Record: 16-0

UFC Record: 0-0

Key Wins: Arymarcel Santos

Key Losses: N/A

Kamal Shalorus will take on Khabib Nurmagomedov in a matchup that is more than a mouthful.

Shalorus will hold the clear-cut advantage heading in as he's faced much more legitimate competition than that of Nurmagomedov.

To Nurmagomedov's favor, he's yet to lose in his MMA career.

To make matters worse for Shalorus, Nurmagomedov is the complete package and can finish his fights in a variety of different ways.

Prediction: Nurmagomedov by R2 TKO

Jorge Rivera vs. Eric Schafer

Jorge_display_image

Jorge Rivera

Career Record: 18-9

UFC Record: 7-6

Key Wins: Nate Quarry

Key Losses: Anderson Silva, Michael Bisping

Eric Shafer

Career Record: 12-6-2

UFC Record: 3-5

Key Wins: Houston Alexander

Key Losses: Ryan Bader, Stephan Bonnar

Jorge Rivera and Eric Shafer will clash in a middleweight showdown when the two take the Octagon on January 20th.

Both Rivera and Shafer are experienced and have spent the majority of their careers fighting for the UFC.

Rivera will look to keep action on his feet, as he is usually swinging for the knockout blow.

Shafer will more than likely attempt to put Rivera on his back and finish him from there.

Whoever is successful in their strength will come out on top.

Prediction: Rivera by R3 TKO

Pat Barry vs. Christian Morecraft

Barry_display_image

Pat Barry

Career Record: 6-4

UFC Record: 3-4

Key Wins: Joey Beltran

Key Losses: Cheick Kongo, Mirko Cro Cop

Christian Morecraft

Career Record: 7-2

UFC Record: 1-2

Key Wins: Sean McCorkle

Key Losses: Matt Mitrione

Both Pat Barry and Christian Morecraft's careers will be on the line when they meet in a heavyweight slugfest in Nashville on January 20th.

Barry and Morecraft are currently on the worst stretch of their MMA careers and will need to make a statement from the opening bell.

Morecraft is well aware of Barry's lackluster submission defense and will attempt to expose his opponent from the ground early and often.

In order to do so, he'll have to avoid Barry's vicious striking, which could be a problem in itself.

Prediction: Barry by R1 TKO

Mike Easton vs. Jared Papazian

Jared_display_image

Mike Easton

Career Record: 11-1

UFC Record: 1-0

Key Wins: Byron Bloodworth

Key Losses: Reynaldo Duarte

Jared Papazian

Career Record: 14-6

UFC Record: 0-0

Key Wins: Marvin Garcia

Key Losses: Jimmie Rivera

Mike Easton will look to continue his recent success inside the Octagon when he meets Jared Papazian.

Easton is coming off the biggest win of his career where he defeated Byron Bloodworth in impressive fashion in his UFC debut.

However, he'll be taking on an even tougher opponent in Papazian who's never been knocked out in his career.

This bout has potential to be one of the best of evening and the results could be as close as a flipped coin.

Prediction: Papazian by Split Decision

Duane Ludwig vs. Josh Neer

Neer_display_image

Duane Ludwig

Career Record: 21-11

UFC Record: 4-2

Key Wins: Jonathan Goulet

Key Losses: Jim Miller

Josh Neer

Career Record: 32-10-1

UFC Record: 5-6

Key Wins: Mac Danzig

Key Losses: Melvin Guillard

When knockout power meets knockout power, fans in attendance at the Bridgestone Arena can expect fireworks from the get-go.

Duane Ludwig and Josh Neer have been two of the more well-known names in the UFC's welterweight division.

Ludwig will attempt to impose his will through a series of strikes and combos while Neer can stand but will elect to grapple his way to a victory.

With that being said, both Ludwig and Neer are red-hot, which will result in a difficulty for a finish.

If there is a finish, its likely it will be Neer's hand who's raised by submission.

Prediction: Neer by R2 Submission

Melvin Guillard vs. Jim Miller

Melv_display_image

Melvin Guillard

Career Record: 29-9-2 (1)

UFC Record: 10-5

Key Wins: Jeremy Stephens, Marcus Davis

Key Losses: Joe Lauzon, Nate Diaz

Jim Miller

Career Record: 20-3

UFC Record: 9-2

Key Wins: Mac Danzig, Duane Ludwig

Key Losses: Benson Henderson, Gray Maynard

In the main event of the evening at UFC on FX, heavy-hitting Melvin Guillard will look to successfully bounce back from his recent defeat to Joe Lauzon.

His opponent Jim Miller is also coming off a loss to a Benson Henderson and will look to get back into title contention.

When the opening bell rings, Miller will want to avoid standing with Guillard, as it only takes one punch for the the "Young Assassin" to strike.

However, as good a grappler and submission artist Miller is, he is put on the ground quite regularly, giving reason to believe he may have trouble taking Guillard down.

If Miller can put Guillard on his back, he'll have a chance to take care of him from there.

If he can't, fans can expect to Guillard's knockout power to play the biggest factor in this lightweight showdown.

Prediction: Guillard by R3 TKO
