According to Simon Austin at BBC Sport, Inter Milan have submitted a £20.7 million bid for Manchester City’s troubled forward Carlos Tévez.
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti confirmed the bid after the Derby della Madonnina:
“Our offer is 25m euros—now it depends on them whether they accept.”
A.C. Milan were seriously considering signing Tévez but cancelled talks after Alexandre Pato rejected a move to Paris St Germain.
PSG, managed by former A.C. Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti, is also interested in Tévez:
“Tevez is a player I really like, he is fantastic. If we want to play at a high level, we must act well in the market, looking for players who can give us a hand.”
In the summer, Tévez was set to sign for Corinthians, but the move collapsed after the Brazilian club were unable to make an immediate payment to Manchester City.
Corinthians are no longer interested in the Argentine according to their general manager Edu (the former Arsenal player):
“I'm starting to think about our new squad for 2012 and I've talked to our coach [Tite] about what we need—but Tevez was not mentioned.”
Tévez has been frozen out of Manchester City after refusing to come on as a substitute in a UEFA Champions League game against Bayern Munich.
When asked to return to training in November, Tévez decided to stay in Argentina.

According to The Telegraph, Blackburn Rovers centre-back Chris Samba has submitted a written transfer request.
Samba stated he needed a new challenge:
“I have had several opportunities to leave but I have always stayed. I have decided now is the right time for me to pursue a new challenge and I have asked the club to respect my decision and allow me to leave.”
Unlike fellow centre-back Gary Cahill, who refused to sign a contract extension, Samba signed a contract extension to 2015 last February.
Goal.com believe Samba may strike to force a move, after Rovers rejected a £6.5 million bid from Queens Park Rangers.
When Samba says he needs a “new challenge”, one would assume, he plans on moving to a UEFA Champions League contending club.

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov is headed for a return to former club Bayer Leverkusen.
With his contract set to expire in June and no longer a permanent fixture in Sir Alex Ferguson’s starting lineup, Berbatov is almost certain to leave.
In Berbatov's last three games, he has scored five goals.
Last year, there was a period where Berbatov came off the bench in 11 of 15 games.
He played six seasons for Leverkusen, scoring 91 goals in 201 games.
Leverkusen’s primary forward Stefan Kießling has been missing in action—scoring three goals in 17 Bundesliga games.

According to Alan Nixon at Mirror Football, Kenny Dalglish will offer £10 million for Tottenham Hotspur forward Jermain Defoe.
Defoe has found himself on the outer at Spurs, only playing 42 percent of total Premier League minutes this season.
He averages 3.1 shots per game which is alarming given he’s come off the bench eight times.
Would he be willing to share the ball with Andy Carroll? No.
What does Carroll need to do?
Score goals.
£10 million is steep for a player who has been an impact sub and will be just a substitute for Liverpool.
What happens when Luis Suárez comes back?
Defoe will find himself on the bench and will be as unhappy as he is at White Hart Lane.

After protracted contract negotiations, Chelsea have completed the signing of Bolton Wanderers centre-back Gary Cahill.
The England international was grateful for his experience at Reebok Stadium:
“I would like to thank everybody at Bolton because I have had a great four years at the football club.”
Cahill has led Bolton to the worse defence in the Premier League and leaves the team in relegation limbo.
He averages 0.7 tackles per game and intercepts the ball 2.1 times per game.
