Kim Kardashian: Staged Proposal Another Indicator that Marriage Was a Sham

On the basketball court, NBA player Kris Humphries is often reliant upon the point guard to get him involved in the offense and pass the ball his way.
It turns out that in the Humpdashian engagement and marriage, Kim Kardashian was playing the role of wife...and point guard.
The latest "source close to the situation" has told Radar Online that not only was Kim and Kris' marriage proposal staged for the cameras—uh, duh—but that it was Kim and not Kris who orchestrated the entire thing.
That's right, you guys—she was pretending to be surprised. I'm just so shocked (read: not surprised in the least) by this news.
From Radar Online:
"Kim told Kris how, where and when to propose, it was absolutely no surprise to her whatsoever", a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.
"First of all, Kris proposed in the middle of the day, and he had to do that because it would create better lighting to capture the moment. Kim looked so surprised but she knew it was happening," the source says. "She was in full hair and make-up, as she always is on the show. Kris wanted it to be very intimate and romantic, but all of his ideas were shot down by production officials and Kim.
"Kim told him the paparazzi would ruin the special moment if it were to take place in a public setting, like the beach, which he had also considered. How romantic could it be with three camera crews?"
Listen, I get that they were going to want to have the moment on film—such are the sacrifices when you decide that your life is fascinating enough to base an entire television show around it—but why couldn't Kris orchestrate the engagement with the production officials?

Isn't it sort of a metaphor for the pending marriage when the proposal, and the emotion of that proposal, is essentially faked for the cameras? Isn't it sort of a metaphor for the pending marriage when any romance portrayed in the proposal was essentially manufactured by Kim and the production team?
C'mon—this marriage was staged, or in the very least, hastily agreed to by two people who weren't yet in love with one another but sure did love the sound of the cash registers they kept hearing every time they kissed.
The way I see it, point guard Kim called one of the oldest plays in the NBA book—the pick and roll.
She picked Kris Humphries to marry, made her money from the wedding, and rolled.
