Texans vs. Ravens Video: Watch Ray Lewis and Arian Foster Exchange Memorabilia
Arian Foster and Ray Lewis take a page out of the book of world footballers when they exchange autographed jerseys after the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens playoff game.
It was a nice gesture which was likely initiated by the younger Foster. Many of the NFL's young players idolized Ray Lewis and many feel honored to compete against him.
It was the best show of respect I've seen on a football field in recent memory. It shows a recognition of seniority, greatness and a overall awareness on the part of Foster.
He had a great game despite the loss to the Ravens. Baltimore really had no answer for him, but the Texans lost due to the three INTs thrown by T.J. Yates.
Foster's stat-line of 132 rushing yards, 22 receiving with a TD was worthy of respect, even from one of the game's all-time greats.
This is a nice gesture I'd like to see repeated in NFL postseason games going forward. I know Tashard Choice did request Mike Vick's autograph after a regular season game. I didn't have a problem with that, though many did. Still, this was different and much more classy.
If this is indeed Ray Lewis' final year, or even the last encounter between the two, it's an appropriate acknowledgment.
