Serie A's clubs continue to be linked with plenty of January transfer activity.
There is predominantly a short-term approach among Italy's clubs as their fans, and more importantly presidents, are thoroughly impatient.
Milan, Inter and Juventus in particular are leading the way with a several stories linking both players in and players out.
Here are some of the more fascinating stories as we approach the half-way point of the window.
Inter Milan: Tevez, Manchester City

Carlos Tevez's move to AC Milan presumably collapsed yesterday after Alexandre Pato declared his intention to remain with the Rossoneri.
Adriano Galliani then revealed talks had broken down, but this should be taken with a grain of salt given Milan's willingness to play mind games and make use of each day of the window to strike the best possible deal.
If Milan's interest doesn't resurface, then Inter Milan should be ready to pounce.
The AP reveal talks will recommence with the Nerazzurri after the Derby della Madonnina with Massimo Moratti willing to part with £20 million.

The Ghanaian's contract expires this summer and Inter might be keen to strike a deal in January, even with their biggest rivals, to reclaim a fee.
Max Allegri is intent of forming an athletic midfield with the likes of Kevin-Prince Boateng and Antonio Nocerino cornerstones for the Rossoneri.
AC Milan: Djamel Mesbah, Lecce

AC Milan have finally been linked with a left-back.
A problem position for the Rossoneri in recent months, the likes of Taye Taiwo, Luca Antonini and Gianluca Zambrotta simply aren't good enough.
It now seems that Milan will target the Lecce full-back Djamel Mesbah, and today's Gazzetta reveals that talks could start Monday for the 27-year-old Algerian, but is also mentioned by the paper's online edition here.
Parma: Obi, Juan and Jonathan, Inter Milan

Parma are set to strike a deal with Inter Milan, potentially for a trio of Nerazzurri stars.
It seems that Jonathan could join permanently or on a co-ownership basis before a loan is secured for Joel Obi and the new Brazilian U-20 World Cup winner Juan.
The relationship between the two clubs seems to be flourishing after several deals in recent times, and those linked with the Crociati will be buoyed by the vast improvement of former Nerazzurro Jonathan Biabiany since his move to Parma.
These are encouraging signs for Rossoblu fans as Roberto Donadoni is rebuilding the side immediately after Franco Colomba was sacked last week.
Fiorentina, AC Milan: Amauri, Juventus

Fiorentina seemed to be the leading candidate to take Juventus striker Amauri.
But Milan have now emerged as another possibility after the Carlos Tevez deal supposedly collapsed.
This would actually be a better acquisition in the short term than Tevez, as he would be a direct replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic if Max Allegri desires to rest the Swede before the Champions League or injury becomes a problem.
Amauri would jump at the chance to join the Rossoneri, particularly if given the possibility to be involved in the Champions League.
Initially Juve were prepared to let him leave for free, but would almost certainly require a fee if Milan wanted to prise away their player.

Juventus: Fredy GuarĂn, Porto

Juventus seem intent on taking Porto's Fredy Guarín.
The Colombian playmaker could add some serious depth to the midfield of the Bianconeri.
The 25-year-old's agent has confirmed talks have begun with Juve, and today's Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Juventus would immediately pay €2 million before a further €8 to 9 million in the summer.
Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal and Claudio Marchisio make a formidable three-man midfield, and the Colombian acquisition would only strengthen this, perhaps even fitting in on the right side of a front three to accommodate everybody.
Fiorentina: El Hamdaoui, Ajax or Chamakh, Arsenal

Fiorentina seem more attracted to the proposition of Ajax forward Mounir El Hamdaoui for the long term over Amauri.
The deal could be €3 million for the 27-year-old, but negotiations seem to be dragging on and this has led to the Viola turning their attentions to Marouane Chamakh of Arsenal as a fall-back option.
Fiorentina need to strike a deal soon after selling star striker Alberto Gilardino to Genoa.
